Turkish President Erdogan and Russian President Putin meet for talks on August 9 in St. Petersburg, Russia in an abrupt move to restore bilateral relations between the two countries, which suffered a drastic setback after a Turkish jet shot down a Russian bomber during a mission in Syria in late 2015.
