Face to face with the wildlife

The “Golden Turtle” photo exhibition, held at the Central House of Artists, will close its doors on February 17.  Selected Russian and foreign nature photographers had the chance to present their work to the public. On display at the event  - various forests, bright oceans, amazing mountains, scaring glaciers and endless deserts. Alongside hunderds of pictures of animals... of cute, sweet or cruel wild animals. All the pictures were submitted as part  part of the international competition Golden Turtle which marks its 7th edition.

The collection covers a range of styles from abstract art to documentary photojournalism. There are over 160 photographs on display.  Each nominee was selected for the ability to capture an interesting moment in the life of an animal, its behavior and interaction with other individuals or the environment. The outcome had to be dynamic, emotional, memorable and original. Among the categories the photos were divided in Birds, Microcosm, Underwater, Animal Portrait, Harmony of Life, Man and Nature, The Magic of Plants, Landscape, The Art of Nature.

After Moscow the exhibition will be touring Russia, reachingSamara, Volgograd, Voronezh, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Lipetsk,  Novosibirsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski, St. Petersburg and many other cities acrossthe country .
