The event, put on by the Moscow Department of Culture, brought together members of the Russian Gliding Federation and lovers of radio-controlled airplane models, gliders, fly-line and radio-controlled fighter planes, and stunt kites
Airplane modelers took part in competitions in which the "pilots" demonstrated what their fly-line and radio-controlled planes could do in the air. Of course, an aeronautics festival can’t take place without a real air battle. Air balloons made up the festival's finale.
