Work on creating techniques and making 3D bioprints of human tissues and organs is one of the most modern trends in medicine and bioengineering today. The use of 3D bioprinting technology to make organs from a patient’s autologous stem cells could be the solution to the problem of immune system compatibility, and with time, the technology opens up the possibility of receiving organ prototypes and effective methods of tissue replacement that allow a patient’s health to be fully returned.
The scientific group at the biotech research laboratory has set precisely the work to produce a kidney as a long-term goal. In the shorter term, they’re working towards creating universal tissue constructs.
