From October 4 to 8, 2013, the Circle of Light Third International Festival, a bright event for the Russian capital, which is becoming the Moscow Government’s traditional autumn present to Muscovites and guests of the capital.
The city environment became filled with the energy of light, all five of the Festival sites—Digital October, Luzhniki Olympic Complex, Tsaritsyno Park, Bolshoi Theater, and Manege—are lit and united into the light circle. In the evening, all visitors are able to see video projection programs for free. Viewers enjoy multimedia and musical shows, light installations, interactive activities, laser and audiovisual shows, presentation of ART VISION contest works and much more. For instance, in the Digital October Center educational programs are available for three days. The Festival guests are able to appreciate the works of renowned Russian and foreign artists as well as those of young light designers, gain knowledge, and attend workshops presented by leading Russian and foreign light professionals.
This year’s Festival subject is the Light Relay symbolizing peace, unity, friendship, purity, inspiration, and, above all, light. Right at the time of the event, the Olympic Torch is delivered to the capital and started its grand march over all 83 Russian regions.
