Peculiarities of the national feast

The residents of Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Vladikavkaz, Perm, and Samara simultaneously gathered at set tables to enter the Russian Records Book for the “Largest Feast”.

A flash mob was organized by creators of the movie “Gorko!” as a part of the sequel's promotion. The movie tells the story of a country wedding with a traditional wedding feast and rituals.

Holidays in Russia are usually celebrated among relatives and friends at a table set with lots of food to choose from. It’s not uncommon for some celebrations to stretch out to 2 days.

Representatives of the Russian Records Book declared a new record for the biggest feast at 4,612 people. Vladikavkaz was recognized as the most hospitable city: over 3 000 people took part in the city’s feast at a table 1.5 kilometers in length.
