Gorky Park of Moscow nominates Hyde Park for Ice Bucket Challenge

On September 7, as part of Moscow’s anniversary celebrations, the city took on the Ice Bucket Challenge in Gorky Park.

The Ice Bucket Challenge is a charity flash mob that thousands of people have already taken part in, including movie stars, businessmen, and athletes from around the world. On this autumn day in Moscow, more than 100 people gathered here, ready to pour ice-cold water on themselves and donate to charity in order to help kids with neurological disorders.

"We hope that campaigns like the Ice Bucket Challenge will help draw society’s attention to existing problems through a unique format, but will also make a real contribution to solving these problems", says Aljona Meschkova, the charity fund’s director.
