Russian civil aviation is aiming at the Southeastern Asian market

Russia's United Aircraft Corporation is planning to introduce new brands in the civilian aircraft sector, and firstly on the Asian market. The first Russian civil plane to be used on the world market was the Sukhoi Superjet. President of UAC Mikhail Pogosyan spoke to RBTH about how the sanctions have affected the promotion of this brand.

"The Superjet is now being used in Indonesia, in Laos. We see a huge potential in the Southeastern Asian market. We are negotiating with China, Vietnam and other countries. We see good positions in Africa and in the Latin American countries. Therefore it is important for us to strengthen the authority of our products."
