Activists marched along a boulevard in central Moscow on Saturday to commemorate lawyer Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova killed by nationalists in 2009.
The marchers proceeded from Pushkinskaya Square along Nikitsky Boulevard toward the point where the march was supposed to be ended, after which its participants folded the banners.
From that point on, the marchers are proceeding in small groups toward Kropotkinskaya metro station, where Markelov and Baburova were killed. Police are calling on the participants not to form large groups but proceed further toward the metro station.
The march passed without incidents, and no one was detained.
