A passenger airplane has crashed outside Almaty in Kazakhstan.
"The aircraft crashed between the Kulzha highway and the village of Kyzyltu," an Almaty emergency situations department spokesman told Interfax on Tuesday.
It was a Kokshetau-Almaty flight, Almaty region deputy administration chief Amandyk Batalov told Interfax.
Investigators are working at the site.
A source familiar with the situation told Interfax that the plane was presumably carrying 6 crewmembers and 15 passengers.
Almaty Airport is operating amid heavy fog today.
