Sergei Filin's rehabilitation may last long - Health Ministry

The Bolshoi Ballet's artistic director Sergei Filin, who suffered an acid attack in January, will travel to Germany on Monday for a comprehensive rehabilitation course, Russian Health Ministry spokesman Sergei Salagai told Interfax on Sunday.

"Sergei Filin is expected to be moved to Germany on Monday. Rehabilitation may last rather long, including a certain period at a clinic in Aachen," he said.

At later stages rehabilitation could continue at other clinics, including in Russia," Salagai said.

Filin has undergone several surgeries in Moscow.

His Russian doctors will remain in touch with their German colleagues, Salagai said.
