Former Moscow mayor Yury Luzhkov said he may help Mikhail Prokhorov, leader of the party Civil Platform, in the Moscow City Duma election campaign in 2014, Kommersant reported on Friday.
"I have such good feelings for Prokhorov. He helped me a lot when I was mayor, and he did that without any financial interest," Luzhkov told Kommersant.
Nevertheless, Luzhkov said the conditions of his participation in Civil Platform's election activities have not been discussed yet.
"Only nervous politicians can say what will happen before elections that are due to take place in a year, and even more than a year ahead. However, I personally have very warm feelings for Prokhorov, and I also like his ideas," Luzhkov told Kommersant.
According to Kommersant, the businessman's possible cooperation with the former Moscow mayor may be discussed in the meeting of the federal political committee of Civil Platform on Feb. 15.
A source in the party told Kommersant that Luzhkov's analysts have drawn up a "roadmap" for Prokhorov's participation in the elections.
"Luzhkov may assist Civil Platform as an adviser," the party's press service told Kommersant.
