Cuba will acquire aircraft worth $650 million from Russia, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said.
"We plan to deliver airplanes valued at approximately $650 million," he told journalists during Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's visit to Cuba.
Among other documents, the sides signed an agreement to provide three Russian-made Antonov An-158 airplanes to Cuba in March, June and August 2013, the minister said.
"The second agreement envisions the delivery of three [Ilyushin] Il-96-400 airplanes in their passenger version and two [Tupolev] Tu-204SN airplanes after their trials are completed and these planes are certified," he said.
