The next round of talks on the introduction of visa-free travel between Russia and the EU is to be held in Moscow on March 11, Russian Ambassador at Large Anvar Azimov told Interfax on Friday.
"Senior officials in charge of the dialogue on visa-free travel are to meet in Moscow on March 11 to sum up the first results of the talks on further accelerated steps," Azimov said.
There are no deep disagreements between Russia and the EU on the list of joint steps towards visa-free travel, he said. "There is the only disagreement on the pace of implementation and advancement towards the ultimate goal of Russian citizens' visa-free short-term visits. The provisions and measures it includes are of a technical nature and should not be politicized," he said.
