Organizer of Saturday's march in defense of children, Russian Mothers movement coordinator Irina Bergset has denied claims marchers were paid for joining.
"Reports were circulated by online media claiming that dollars were handed out to the marchers. In fact, people on the other side of Tverskaya Street, where an opposition march in defense of Muscovites' rights was held, had been paid to join the rally, so all questions should be addressed to them. I came to defend our children, my son, and all children selected in 28 countries and in Russia, and to say that the plague of juvenile justice and seizures of children must never reach Russia," Bergset said on Ekho Moskvy radio on Sunday.
