Russian newest helicopters to be displayed at U.S. Heli-Expo 2013

The Russian Helicopters Holding, a Rostekh Oboronprom subsidiary, will present Kamov Ka-62 and Ka-32A11BS, Mil Mi-171A2 and other newest products at the Heli-Expo 2013 show in Las Vegas on March 5-7.

"The traditional "Russian Hour" will be held by Russian delegates to the Las Vegas helicopter forum on the second day of the show, March 6. Russian Helicopters will use the occasion to present the Kamov Ka-62 medium-sized multirole transport and passenger helicopter built with the use of composite materials," the holding reports.

The Ka-62 helicopter complies with the highest norms of fuel efficiency, cost effectiveness and security. Its maiden flight is due in 2013 and certification in 2014. Corporate clients are enthusiastic about the new product. Brazilian Atlas Taxi Aereo has ordered seven helicopters of the kind, the report said.

Experts expect Heli-Expo 2013, which forms "helicopter trends" of the year, to become a keynote event. Corporate representatives from all over the world and more than 20,000 specialists will tour over 650 exhibition floors.
