Berezovsky's letter to Putin will not be published - Russian Presidential Administration Head

The letter of Boris Berezovsky to Russian President Vladimir Putin exists but will not be published, Russian Presidential Administration Head Sergei Ivanov said.

"I have not seen or read it but I know 100 percent that the letter exists and that it was delivered to Russia by a Russian citizen several months ago," Ivanov told reporters on Tuesday. "Private letters are usually not published. The president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov initially said that we don't publish private letters."

Peskov said on March 23 that Berezovsky had written a letter to Putin in which he apologized for the mistakes he had made and asked to return to Russia.
