Khodorkovsky and Lebedev's defense get Supreme Court handle protest against second sentence

The Russian Supreme Court will handle a supervisory protest against the second sentence of Yukos CEO Mikhail Khodorkovsky and his business partner Platon Lebedev.

According to a posting on the website of the top judicial instance, the judicial collegium of the Supreme Court has launched proceedings in relation to the supervisory protest of the defense.

"This means that the protest will be handled at a special session of the judicial collegium," Khodorkovsky's lawyer Vadim Klyuvgant told Interfax.
