Sergei Guriyev, former rector of the Russian School of Economics (NES), is ready to return to Russia when the circumstances that made him leave the country end, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told reporters after meeting with Guriyev.
"He is a Russian citizen and, naturally, he is not closing any doors. He has explained all his motives very well. If the motives he mentioned become history, it will mean he can return," Dvorkovich said.
"Of course, he is hoping to return as soon as possible," Dvorkovich said.
Dvorkovich said Guriyev is in a good mood. "He always travels a lot and lectures a lot. He is fine. He is in a good mood," he said.
Nevertheless, Dvorkovich said Guriyev intends to live and work in Paris for the time being. "He will work and live here for the time being," he said.
