Another expert on Yukos case to be questioned by Investigative Committee

Director of the SRP-Ekspertiza consulting company Mikhail Subbotin, an author of the public expert assessment of the second criminal case started against former Yukos heads Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev, has been invited to the Investigative Committee for questioning.

Director of the SRP-Ekspertiza consulting company Mikhail Subbotin, an author of the public expert assessment of the second criminal case started against former Yukos heads Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev, has been invited to the Investigative Committee for questioning, the business daily Kommersantwrites on Tuesday.

"I, too, was called and invited to turn up at the Investigative Committee. I will go on Wednesday, June 26 to understand what the investigators are after. Our public assessment was optional and it did not influence anything," Subbotin said.

The newspaper also said that the Investigative Committee has been showing interest in authors of the public expert assessment for several months now.

Reports said earlier that ex-rector of the New Economic School Sergei Guriyev, who took part in the independent public assessment of the Yukos case on the Kremlin Human Rights Council's initiative, left Russia fearing reprisals.

Ex-judge of the Constitutional Court, member of the Kremlin Human Rights Council Tamara Morshakova earlier said investigators want to question her.
