Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry have discussed preparations for their countries'summit in Moscow in September

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry have discussed preparations for their countries' summit in Moscow in September.

"U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and I discussed bilateral relations with a focus on preparations for U.S. President Barack Obama's visit at the beginning of September" Lavrov told journalists.

"In time for this meeting we agreed to prepare a joint report in which the coordinators of the Russian-American presidential commission will detail the measures taken by all of the joint groups that function within this commission" the Russian minister said.

"We agreed to take advantage of the Moscow meeting to implement the earlier reached agreements aimed at considerably boosting trade, business and investment cooperation" Lavrov said.

Russia and the U.S. will also consider the possibility of arranging "a meeting of Russian and U.S. business leaders" he said.
