Moscow calls for reaching nationwide accord in Egypt

"The opinions on the situation's development in Egypt along with the measures the authorities are taking to stabilize it were exchanged during the conversation. At that, Russia was championing a proposal that issues and disagreements existing in Egypt should be resolved without violence, based on the principles of nationwide accord and in the interests of all social groups and confessions of Egyptian society," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

"Certain practical aspects of the Russian-Egyptian cooperation have been discussed as well," the statement said.
