Authorities try to find out who invited Bloodhound Gang to Russia

State Duma Vice Speaker Sergei Neverov (United Russia) has demanded a check of the organizers of the performance of the Bloodhound Gang rock group in Russia.

"The organizers of such arrivals should bear full responsibility for what happened and enraged Russian citizens," Neverov told the press on Sunday.

"There are questions to those who invited them to Russia, to those who organized their concerts, offered venues, paid for their activities," he said.

"Whose orders did the group fulfill? Those who paid them money and they did what they did. Like Madonna did in her time… These are all parts of one chain," Neverov said.

He said he would send a query "to the relevant authorities to find out all the circumstances of the initiation of the group here - who stands behind all this."

Some media reported earlier that the Bloodhound Gang bass guitar player performed a stunt at a concert in Odessa that was perceived as the desecration of the Russian flag.

Later the performance of Bloodhound Gang at Kubana rock festival in south Russia was cancelled over the incident with the flag.

The bass guitar player, 'Evil' Jared Hasselhoff brought public apologies for the incident and cancellation of the concert.

By now the rock group has left Russia.
