Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) and CJSC Sberbank Leasing have agreed formation of a joint leasing company to promote sale of 50 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
The agreement was signed by SCAC President Andrei Kalinovsky and Sberbank Leasing General Director Dmitry Yeroshok as Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev looked on.
The companies have agreed to promote sale of the planes on markets in Russia and abroad on behalf of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), SCAC and Sberbank Leasing said in a joint press release. Under the agreement, buyers in Russia and other companies will be offered lease of up to 50 of the SSJ100 passenger jets at a total cost of $2 billion.
In addition, also in Medvedev's presence, SCAC and Ilyushin Finance Co. signed contracts on delivery of 20 SSJ100s. The document was signed by SCAC's Kalinovsky and Ilyushin Finance General Director Alexander Rubtsov.
The first contract - the operator was not disclosed - is on delivery of five long-range SSJ100 LR configured for 103 passengers using slim seats. The first deliveries are expected in at the end of 2015.
The second contract covers delivery of 15 SSJ100 (basic version) to operators in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The first deliveries are expected in 2015.
The deliveries will be financed using the government program to support exports of high-tech products, under which the government furnishes guarantees to banks that provide loans to the buyers of Russian products.
