"We are actively working on the S-500, and this work has never stopped. Our industry has achieved some results. We can now say we can make this system. It will hit ballistic and aerodynamic targets. It will have an excellent range of some 500 km," Bondarev said.

"The S-500 system will be ready within the earlier stated period of time. We will begin receiving it in January 2018. If it happens before that time, it means our industry works really well," he said.
