Navalny's team fears irregularities in home voting in Moscow mayoral election

Monitors from the election team of Moscow mayoral candidate Alexei Navalny most frequently record irregularities related to home voting, head of the team Leonid Volkov has announced.

"Our observers go with portable ballot boxes and we record the greatest number of irregularities in relation to home voting," he said to journalists on Sunday.

He said that according to information from 150 district election commissions there is an average of 27-28 voters on the list for home voting at every polling station.

"Thus given 3,600 polling stations we get that a total of some 100,000 people vote at home which amounts to 3% of the estimated turnout," Volkov said.

"In the context of this election in which every percentage point matters for the runoff, this is a very serious matter," he said.
