A delegation of Russian media investors is going to Cannes

On October 7-10, Cannes will be hosting the annual MIPCOM Exhibition and Conference. The main goal of Russian participation is positioning of Russia as one of the key players in the field of innovation in the media and digital technology sphere.

On October 7-10, Cannes will be hosting the annual MIPCOM Exhibition and Conference, dedicated to all possible platforms of entertainment content. Co-organizer of this exhibition of Russian innovative companies in the field of communications will be the National Research University – Higher School of Economics (HSE).

The Russian delegation will include representatives of major Russian enterprises in the field of telecommunications and information technology, young, rapidly growing companies in the field of communications, as well as start-up companies and small innovative enterprises, with the participation of leading Russian universities such as National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics and HSE, as well as venture investors. 

The official delegation will be represented by State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Economic Development Oleg Fomichev, representatives of the Russian Venture Company, the HSE and other government organizations and regional executive authorities.

MIPCOM history goes back more than 50 years, today this business platform brings together more than 12,000 companies in the communications industry, producers of digital content and information processing technology.

The main goal of Russian participation is positioning of Russia as one of the key players in the field of innovation in the media and digital technology sphere. All the participants of MIPCOM will be able to attract core investors and strategic partners, will have an opportunity to sign contracts with potential consumers of content, as well as to assess and analyze the activities of developing companies in this sector from other countries.
