Unemployment will increase in Russia - Russian Trade and Economic Development Minister

Unemployment will increase in Russia as a result of the worsening economic situation and will reach some 6% of the economically active population in 2014, Russian Trade and Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said.

"Objectively, employment is a delayed indicator. The worsening of the situation with economic growth will lead to a decrease in employment, although not immediately. For this reason, I think it would be right to prepare for a decrease in employment," Ulyukayev told a briefing at the Sochi investment forum.
