Opposition activists have filed a lawsuit with a Moscow court against the city administration's refusal to clear a protest march in the city center on October 26.

"The march organizers have filed a suit against the Moscow administration," Solidarity activist Pyotr Tsarkov, one of the march organizers, told Interfax.

The Moscow City Hall earlier turned down an application by the Protest Actions Committee on holding a march of up to 30,000 people in support for political prisoners on October 26, saying that the application submission procedure involved some violations.

After that, the committee filed an application for such a march scheduled for October 27.
