Red line: Geneva talks, Syrian opposition: talking to an enemy & Francois Hollande
The National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces is not refusing to go to Moscow, while Moscow confirms an invitation to meet, extended to the Syrian opposition, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met with opposition leaders in Istanbul a few days ago. He held a separate meeting with most leaders of the national coalition. They are not refusing to go to Moscow. They are studying our proposal," Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow on Monday.
"If our invitation to meet in Moscow remains interesting - we confirm - we will work to consolidate the positive trends," he said.
