U.S. President Barack Obama plans to visit Russia next year for a G8 summit, U.S. Ambassador in Moscow Michael McFaul said.
"I expect him to come for the G-8 summit," he wrote on Twitter on Friday, responding to an Interfax question whether Obama planned to visit Russia in 2014.
Migration problems will be high on the agenda of next year's G8 summit in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi, Russia's President Vladimir Putin said, asking former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, who today serves as the UN secretary general's special envoy, to help draw up a report addressing this topic.
