Former Yukos head Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who was released from a Karelia penitentiary and left for Germany on Friday, has met with his son Pavel in Berlin.

Former Yukos head Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who was released from a Karelia penitentiary and left for Germany on Friday, has met with his son Pavel in Berlin.

"Mikhail Borisovich [Khodorkovsky] has already met with his son in Berlin," Khodorkovsky's press secretary Olga Pispanen told Interfax on Saturday.

Lawyer Vadim Klyuvgant had told Interfax earlier that Khodorkovsky was going to meet with his parents, Marina and Boris Khodorkovsky, in Beriln on Saturday.

The Russian Service of Voice of America said earlier with reference to German political analyst and journalist Alexander Rahr that Khodorkovsky would hold a press conference on December 22.

President Vladimir Putin pardoned Khodorkovsky on Friday, and the former Yukos head left for Berlin on a private jet the same day.
