Ukrainian border guards denied entry to almost 500 Russian citizens over the past 24 hours, deputy head of the Vostok operative group of the Ukrainian State Border Service Oleksandr Zhdanenko said.
"We detected and denied entry to Ukraine to over 1,500 Russian citizens since the beginning of this operation. Yesterday alone we denied entry to 477 persons," he told a press conference on Friday.
In his words, the Russians stopped on the border were headed for Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk and Chernihiv. The operation continues in the northern and eastern sectors of the Ukrainian border, Zhdanenko said.
