Former Yukos CEO Mikhail Khodorkovsky, pardoned in late 2013, will get a permit to reside in Switzerland, Swiss Ambassador in Moscow Pierre Helg told Interfax on Tuesday.
Helg said that this would be a permit of relevant authorities and that he personally was certain that Khodorkovsky would be granted it.
The family of Khodorkovsky is already in Switzerland and now the procedure is being held upon Khodorkovsky's request regarding a permanent residence permit, the ambassador said. Khodorkovsky is not the only one - 11,000 Russians live in Switzerland, Helg said.
