Russia has joined the list of countries involved in the search for the missing Boeing 777 of the Malaysia Airlines company, according to the Malaysian Transport Ministry's statement posted on the Facebook page of the country's premier, Najib Razak.
The number of countries involved in the search and rescue operation has totaled 26, it says.
They include Malaysia, Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, China, France, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Myanmar, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, the United States, the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
