Moscow has evidence suggesting Right Sector was behind Maidan snipers' shooting - Lavrov

Moscow possesses information indicating that the Right Sector was behind snipers' shooting in Kiev, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"Ample evidence is available to us - and I shared it with my partners - about whose embassy maintained regular contact with the Right Sector and received the Right Sector leaders, and whose representatives remained present on Independence Square and in the premises controlled by the Right Sector, the coordinator of the numerous outrages, including snipers' shooting. Let this lie on the conscience of those who do such exercises," Lavrov said in an interview with the Voskresnoye Vremya news program on Russia's Channel One.

"Such information is available to us," he said.

Lavrov also said that Moscow has shared its suspicions with Western partners. "I cannot be 100% sure, but there are very many facts pointing at this. Of course, thy must be verified. I hope the inquiry, announced by the Ukrainian leadership, will be carried through to the end, and the results will not be kept under wraps," the Russian foreign minister said.
