The regional television and radio center in Donetsk remains under the control of unidentified assailants who have switched off the digital signal and are filling Ukrainian frequencies with Russian broadcasts, the radio and television concern KRRT told Interfax.

A KRRT spokesman said that the occupiers have switched off all transmitters responsible for digital broadcasts in the region and those run by LLC Zeonbud, and also tuned off the analog signals of the ICTV television channel, filling its frequencies with broadcasts of the Russian channel Interfilm. The shutdown 1+1 channel has been replaced by Rossiya 24.

Reports said earlier that unidentified assailants seized the Donetsk regional television and radio center on April 27. Also in April a KRRT center was seized in Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region, but it was later vacated.
