Several flight attendants were seriously injured as a result of a brawl triggered by a drunk passenger on a St. Petersburg-Antalya flight, a St. Petersburg emergency services source told Interfax on Thursday.
"The airline has informed us that a man under the influence of alcohol started to pester the passengers sitting next to him and provoked a mass brawl as his St. Petersburg-Antalya flight was preparing to land. In addition to that, he caused injuries to three flight attendants, including grievous bodily harm to a female attendant," he said.
All three flight attendants injured in the incident are currently receiving medical care in Antalya, the source said.
The man is believed to have been detained by Turkish police shortly after landing.
