A man suspected of plotting the May 2 riots in Odessa, which led to numerous fatalities, has been identified and detained, the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) has reported.
A 26-year-old Odesa resident and a radical group leader was hiding from the law enforcement at a rented flat, the SBU press service said on Wednesday.
"In order to evade criminal liability, the wrongdoer used some secrecy methods: he changed his looks, didn't use communication devices, and didn't go outdoors," it said.
Investigative procedures have been opened against the suspect, it said.
