Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin will meet with Ukrainian politician Oleh Tsarev immediately after the meeting in the Russian government on the placement of state defense contracts for defense enterprises in Crimea.
"We will discuss the situation with the actions taken by Kyiv to destroy Ukrainian industry," Tsarev told reporters before the meeting.
Tsarev said the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics "are facing the task of kick-starting the economy to give people jobs and to ensure the payment of taxes." "It cannot be done without Russia's support," he said.
"A fall in all indicators was observed in Ukraine in the 100 days of the rule of the government headed by [Arseniy] Yatsenyuk in Kyiv," the politician said.
Tsarev, a member of the Party of Regions faction of the Ukrainian parliament, was registered as a self-nominated presidential candidate in Ukraine in March. He was elected leader of the public movement Southeast amid the protests organized by federalization supporters in the southeastern regions of Ukraine.
On June 3, the Ukrainian parliament authorized Tsarev's prosecution. After that, Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov raised the question of Tsarev's detention in the Ukrainian parliament.
The national defense headquarters of the Dnepropetrovsk region on June 3 posted a $500,000 reward for Tsarev's detention.
