The pro-autonomy militia of 'the Donetsk People's Republic" claim that fire from Grad rocket installations on Saturday night in Slavyansk disrupted power supplies to the railway station and city hall.
"The shooting lasted all night and morning. Even now there is automatic fire and mortar fire. Sight shooting is opened at the power station. Several plants have stopped operating. The railway station and city hall were left without power supplies," head of the Southeast Front information center Konstantin Knyrik has told Interfax.
He said Slavyansk was under Grad rocket fire from Mount Karachun all night.
"Civilians are hiding in bomb shelters and basements. The fire continues now. There are wounded," he said.
He claimed that Ukrainian law enforcers are shooting at the center of the town. "They are not using full rounds meaning to intimidate us, keep us in constant tension and sow panic," he said.
Interfax has not yet obtained commentaries on these reports from Ukrainian law enforcers.
