A total of 251 accommodation centers with a total 30,000 spaces have been registered in Ukraine for taking in refugees from the southeast of the country, said Alyona Tereshchenko, the head of the Department for Motherhood, Children and Resorts at the Ukrainian Healthcare Ministry.
Currently, some 7,000 refugees are registered at these centers, she said.
Refugees are accommodated at registered resorts, hotels, holiday houses, tourist camps, as well as private hotels, boarding houses and other places of accommodation, Tereshchenko said. However, she said, the Healthcare Ministry does not have any information about the numbers of private lodgings and refugees accommodated therein.
