Poroshenko to submit proposals on constitutional reform to Rada this week

"We had a talk with our President Petro Poroshenko and we agreed that he will initiate proposals on constitutional reform this week. We are talking about decentralization of power in Ukraine. His legislative initiative will be here," Turchynov said at a meeting of the parliament's conciliatory council on Monday.

Turchynov said parliamentary factions will be able to become familiar with the proposed changed in the nearest future.

In addition, Turchynov said the Ukrainian parliament will debate a bill on the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine on Tuesday.

"There is a proposal to begin tomorrow's meeting with the debate and adoption of a decree on measures to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country and prevention of Russian aggression," Turchynov said, adding that a draft decree to this effect will be ready by Tuesday.
