Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada has scheduled mayoral elections to be held in ten cities and 156 populated areas (rural leaders) on October 26.
A decree to that effect was favored by a majority of parliamentarians at a Tuesday evening session.
In particular, early mayoral elections are to be held in Irpin (Kiev region), Malyn (Zhytomyr region), Kirov (Donetsk region), Polonnoye (Khmelnytsky region), Horodenka (Ivano-Frankivsk region), Pochayiv (Ternopil region), Ugledar (Donetsk region), Ichnya (Chernihiv region), Sarny (Rivne region) and Lyuboml (Volynsk region).
