Ukraine is suggesting that the European Union allow major reverse gas flows of up to 30 billion cubic meters a year from Slovakia.
"We have signed a memorandum that sets a maximum daily volume of 22 million cubic meters under limited reverse flow. But there's also so-called 'major reverse', which could provide us with up to 30 bcm a year," Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry Yury Prodan said on arrival in Brussels for talks with Gunther Oettinger, the EU energy commissioner.
