Crews from the MIR 24 and REN TV television channels have come under fire in Donetsk.
"This morning several television crews, including journalists from the MIR 24 television channel, came under fire in Donetsk. Our correspondent Aleksandr Leonenko was working there at the time," MIR 24 said on its website.
"Having entered the city, we saw one supporter of the self-proclaimed republic literally flinging himself under our car and telling us to stop. A signal rocket flared up instantly, and our vehicle came under fire. We managed to run out and hide in a gutter nearby. Later we learnt that the crew of our colleagues came under fire as well," Leonenko said in the statement posted on MIR 24's website.
