The domestic and foreign tourist flows are expected to grow in 2014, the Russian Federal Tourism Agency Rosturizm said.

The domestic and foreign tourist flows are expected to grow in 2014, the Russian Federal Tourism Agency Rosturizm said.

"I would like to express the hope that following 2014 the number of domestic tourists will go up. Of course, I would like to say that, even though it is difficult amid the current situation, the number of foreign tourists coming to us will increase as well," acting Rosturizm Head Oleg Safonov told reporters on Wednesday.

The number of tourists will grow on the account of Crimea, the Krasnodar territory and other regions, he said.

Regions should act as actively as Crimea and the Krasnodar territory, Safonov said. "Formula for success is namely in this," the official said.

The international situation has affected the tourism market and thus the tourist flow from Russia decreased 4% on average, Safonov said.
