100 Innovators Group at the SCO Countries’ Student Spring

A presentation of the Open Innovations Forum Youth Program and the selection of three promising youth projects from the competitive opportunity for participation in 100 Innovators international group were held at the International Shanghai Cooperation Organization Countries’ Student Spring Festival in Chita, on July 4th. The winning projects’ authors are to take part in the 3rd Moscow International Forum of Innovation Development, Open Innovations, and in the Exhibition Open Innovations Expo in Moscow, on October 14–16, 2014.

Over 3,500 students from 17 countries, countries from China and Iran to India, Turkey, and Sri Lanka, attended the International Shanghai Cooperation Organization Countries’ Student Spring Festival in Chita. The Festival’s program is subdivided into seven thematic areas in which the youth demonstrate their abilities in the fields of science, education, sports, creativity, entrepreneurship, and social activities. The SCO Countries’ Student Spring and Open Innovations Forum’s Youth Program are share the same aim of giving talented youth the necessary force, knowledge, and willingness to put their projects into practice.

The Open Innovations Forum Youth Program was presented to participants and guests of the Festival during youth projects’ presentation meeting on July 4. The moderator of the event was Diana Guts, Advisor to Head of the Russian Youth Union in the Area of «Youth Entrepreneurship». «The Youth Program of the Open Innovations Forum is an interesting, large-scale project, which makes it possible for young people from various countries of the world to meet at the global innovation Forum, attend lectures, participate in training workshops by world’s leading innovators, make useful business contacts, share their ideas, and start new projects», said Diana Guts. «Creative young people are the creators of our future. Forums like SCO Countries’ Student Spring and Open Innovations provide a strong stimulus towards the development of young entrepreneurs, innovators, and politicians-to all those how will define our life tomorrow.»

The selection for the 100 Innovators international group during the SCO Countries’ Student Spring is aimed at providing support to the authors of most interesting youth projects in the section of Young Politicians. The 100 Innovators Group presented within the framework of the Youth Program is formed from expert selection of the best ideas from all over the world. In October 2014, group participants will come to Moscow to see the engaging speakers, representatives of development institutes and venture foundations, to share experience with foreign colleagues, and take part in plenary meetings and special events of Open Innovations Forum’s main program. Projects by the Group participants will be presented on a group stand located in Start-up Zone of the Open Innovation Expo, at the Technopolis Moscow, on October 14–16, 2014.

«We have selected the most socially important and promising projects that are of interest both from the perspective of country and regional development, and from the perspective of strengthening regional and international relations,» commented Yana Valdberg, the Open Innovations Forum’s Youth Progam Director. «The competition held during the SCO Countries’ Student Spring made it possible for project authors from India, the Primorsky Territory, and Kemerovo to obtain the right to participate in the 100 Innovators international group.»
