Inter RAO could help build turnkey hydropower plants in Argentina

The first plant will have capacity of 637 MW and cost $2 billion, and the second will have 296 MW.

Parent company Inter RAO won a tender in March to draft technical plans for the Chiuido-1 plant and, following talks, the tender commission recommended it to sign a contract with a consortium, of Energomashexport Equipamentos e servicos de consultoria and OJSC Gidroenergostroy.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Latin America begins on July 10 with an official visit to Cuba. Putin will then visit Argentina and Brazil.
