Rosoboronexport has commented on the non-issue of British visas to some members of the Russian delegation to the Farnborough International Airshow 2014.
"The lack of British visas for a considerable part of the Russian delegation is an unhealthy sign of unfair competition or, if you wish, a weakness," Rosoboronexport aviation equipment department head Sergei Kornev told reporters ahead of the show.
It was reported earlier that some members of the Russian delegation were unable to depart for London and attend the show.
"A strong and self-confident actor will not do such things," Kornev pointed out.
Still, Russia ranks second, after the United States, in global arms exports "and the lack of visas for some members of the Russian delegation to just one show cannot have a negative effect on the global process of Russia's military-technological cooperation," he said.
"However, a negative effect is possible on the image of the host country. But that is the host country's will," the Rosoboronexport official remarked.
